Working in Prosper, TX today! I replaced an older single-speed furnace with a Rheem Prestige variable-speed gas furnace. This included connecting the new unit to the existing ductwork, installing a compatible thermostat, and verifying the unit’s staged heating performance. The upgrade provided improved comfort and energy efficiency.
The heat pump stopped heating because the compressor wouldn’t engage. After troubleshooting, I found the contactor was burned out. I replaced it with a new 40A single-pole contactor, tightened all electrical connections, and tested the system, which now operates correctly in heating mode for our client in Providence Village, TX.
The furnace failed to ignite due to a cracked hot surface ignitor. I removed the damaged ignitor, installed a new one, and verified proper operation by observing the ignition sequence. The furnace now starts and heats without issue.
I performed a heater tune-up in Krugerville and inspected the heat exchanger for cracks or corrosion. Using a combustion analyzer, I confirmed safe levels of carbon monoxide and ensured no leaks. The system passed inspection and is operating safely.
A heat pump wasn’t responding to thermostat settings here in Prosper, TX for our client. Upon inspection, I discovered a wiring issue at the thermostat terminal block. I rewired the connections, reprogrammed the thermostat, and tested the heat pump in both heating and cooling modes.
Working for our client today in Newman Village-Frisco, TX, they needed help with their HVAC. The blower motor on a customer’s HVAC system stopped working. I inspected the motor and found a failed capacitor. I replaced the 10 µF capacitor, tested the motor, and verified proper airflow throughout the duct system.
Working in Frisco, TX this afternoon. I removed an outdated, inefficient gas furnace and installed a high-efficiency Trane S9V2-VS model. The installation included updating the flue pipe, connecting a new thermostat, and sealing duct connections with mastic. System startup showed optimal performance.
During a routine heater maintenance visit in Frisco, TX, I cleaned the flame sensor on a gas furnace and replaced the dirty air filters. The flame sensor was covered in carbon buildup, which could have led to ignition issues. The system is now running reliably.
Working for our client in Little Elm this afternoon. The heat pump wasn’t switching from heating to cooling. I diagnosed a faulty reversing valve. After recovering the refrigerant, I replaced the defective valve, brazed the connections, and recharged the system with R-410A refrigerant. The unit now operates efficiently.
I replaced a malfunctioning circuit board in Little Elm for a customer's gas furnace. The board had failed due to electrical surges, causing the furnace to shut down intermittently. I installed a new OEM circuit board and tested the system to ensure proper functionality.
Performed a heat maintenance service as part of a membership plan on a Rheem gas furnace in Aubrey, TX. I inspected and cleaned the burners to ensure proper combustion, tested the flame sensor for reliable ignition, and checked the heat exchanger for cracks or signs of corrosion. The blower motor was inspected for wear, and I lubricated all moving parts where applicable. I also tested the thermostat's communication with the furnace and verified proper cycling. The air filter was replaced to improve airflow, and the gas pressure was adjusted to manufacturer specifications for optimal performance. Lastly, I measured carbon monoxide levels to confirm safe operation. The system is now operating efficiently and safely.

Serviced a malfunctioning electric heater that wasn’t cycling properly. Found a defective limit switch using a continuity tester. Replaced the switch and inspected the heating elements for wear. Tested the heater to confirm proper cycling and heating performance.
Troubleshot a malfunctioning auxiliary heat system on a Rheem RP17 heat pump. The issue was due to a burned-out heat strip relay. Replaced the relay and tested the system in emergency heat mode, confirming proper auxiliary heat operation.
